Q&A: Can i jailbreak the iPad with latest update?

Question by Bassam: Can i jailbreak the iPad with latest update?
The latest iPad update version is 4.0.1 as i recall, and im not sure if there is a jailbreak tool for it.
And i actually dont have it yet, i will get it for my birthday and i just want to know, if i get my iPad out-of-the-box, will i be able to jailbreak safely?

extra question: can failing a jailbreak cause a ‘brick’ or system corruption or something? if so, can i fix my iPad by Restoring in iTunes?

the latest ipad update is 3.2.1 and there is a jailbreak tool its called jailbreakme by comex
all you have to do is go to http://www.jailbreakme.com/ on the safari web browser (on the ipad, does not work on the computer) and slide the bar at the bottom to jailbreak

also yes you can brick your ipad usually fixed by a restore but there is always the slightest possibility, one in a million that you can permanently wreck ur ipad

but i dont give a dam, i still do it???
